Honey Banana Bread


  • 1/2 cup HYVE Honey
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup mashed ripe bananas (about 2-3 bananas)
  • 1/4 cup Greek yogurt
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg (optional)
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts or pecans (optional)


  • Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x5 inch loaf pan or line it with parchment paper.
  • Mix Wet Ingredients: In a large bowl, whisk together the honey and melted butter until well combined. Add the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the mashed bananas, Greek yogurt, and vanilla extract.
  • Mix Dry Ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg (if using).
  • Combine: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined. Do not overmix. If using, fold in the chopped nuts.
  • Bake: Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top with a spatula. Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • Cool: Allow the bread to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes, then remove it from the pan and let it cool completely on a wire rack.
